The Cathedral of Notre-Dame to Yourself: An Unforgettable Experience

A truly unique opportunity to visit Notre-Dame after the thousands of visitors and pilgrims who normally crowd its nave have left for the day. Guests enter the cathedral after it closes to the public and before an evening concert. One can experience the magnificent space in silence, often only punctuated by the rehearsal of a medieval choir or the organist, preparing for that night’s performance. Accompanied by expert storyteller Quentin Henric, a specialist in Medieval and royal history, guests will learn how the cathedral has from its beginning 850 years ago been a work in progress — work that continues to this day. You'll learn about the renovation of Eugène Viollet-le-Duc, which uncovered colorful Medieval carvings and restored the damaged cathedral to glory. Guests will enjoy a glass of champagne in one of the private rooms or gardens of the cathedral before being seated for the evening's concert. This Journey is made possible by the association Musique Sacrée à Notre-Dame de Paris which organizes all concerts at the cathedral, manages its music school and music research program, among other missions. Your presence makes you part of its community of indispensable supporters.
