Fabien

Fabien is an expert in architectural history, Victor Hugo, and Paris’ treasure-trove of small museums.

With a Masters in Art History and Archaeology from the Sorbonne, the history of architecture is a life-long passion for Fabien. His guiding journey started in Guernsey, where he brought to life the story of Victor Hugo’s home in exile on the island. He joined the Maison de Victor Hugo in Paris as an expert on Hugo's life and work; before long, his expertise expanded to the city’s other museums.

From the Carnavalet to the Catacombs, from the Musée de la Vie Romantique to the museums of Gustave Moreau and Eugène Delacroix – Fabien has been introducing Paris’ hidden treasures to visitors for nearly two decades. Fluent in English and Spanish, he also helps visitors discover the Louvre, Giverny, Versailles, Reims, Mont Saint-Michel and the châteaux of the Loire.

“I try to give people the tools to learn how to observe and experience things afresh. I love history, but even more so the way we look at things. When you look at things from a new angle, history makes more sense”.
